Sydenham Road
Victorian Annexe - Adaptive Reuse
Bristol, England
This residential architectural visualisation project documents the proposed conversion of a historic Victorian barn annex into a modern, purpose-designed living space. Originally standing empty, the structure was earmarked for adaptive reuse as a comfortable home for the property owners' elderly parents, with the design calling for a careful balance between accessibility, contemporary comfort and the charm of the original architecture.
The 3D visualisations were created to give the client a clear, tangible understanding of the proposed design, helping to inform decisions around materials, lighting schemes and spatial layout before work began. By bringing the architect's vision to life visually, the renders allowed everyone involved to explore both the exterior and interior of the space with confidence and clarity.
Key period features including original stone walls, characteristic rooflines, and traditional proportions are preserved throughout the design, ensuring the conversion respects and celebrates the building's Victorian identity.
